Two Races, Five Great Results
Mikey, Ryan and Carlin (L to R) begin their finishing kick at the 2011 Desert Twilight 5K.
After a long summer the some of the team members were able to test their fitness at a couple of races over the weekend.
Desert Twilight
The junior high contingent took on the 5k course with Carlin leading the way in 21:51.7. He was followed closely by Ryan and Mikey in 21:59.2 and 22:08.3 respectively.
Jamie's effort of 29:05.7 was a good starting point for her as she makes her way back from some extensive time off.
Not Your Average Joe 10K
Filling in for injured head coach (Clyde), Calvin ran the 10K. Running comfortably throughout the entire race, Calvin took the lead shortly before the 2 mile mark. He wound his way to the finish in 38:32.
